英文摘要As cache capacity is becoming larger and larger, we need a new way to do pre-fetch more aggressively. In this article we will present stable set model-a new model for locality principle, then define large-scale spatial locality based on it. Using our definition for data pre-fetch can efficiently make use of large capacity cache. Test results give us three preliminary conclusions: first, the assumption of large-scale spatial locality is justified; second, using stable sets to pre-fetch in large-capacity cache is useful; third, stable set mining introduces very low overhead, so it is practical to run the mining on real systems.
