| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To allow the tuning for a selected wavelength over a wide wavelength range without generating the loss by absorption by forming a groove for preventing a voltage from being impressed to an optical waveguide region between a distribution feedback region and the optical waveguide region. CONSTITUTION:This filter has electrodes 91, 92 for impressing the voltage to the distribution feedback region and the groove 10 for preventing the voltage from being impressed to the optical waveguide region is formed between the distribution feedback region and the optical waveguide region. The impression of the voltage to the optical waveguide region is prevented by the groove 10 provided between the respective electrodes and only the absorption coefft. of the distribution feedback region changes even when the voltage is impressed to the distribution feedback region in this formation. The loss by the absorption can, therefore, be compensated by selecting the wavelength with which the fluctuation rate of the refractive index on the wavelength side longer than an exciton wavelength is always positive as the selected wavelength. The generation of the loss by the absorption is obviated and the tuning of the selected wavelength over the wide wavelength range is possible. |
