英文摘要PURPOSE:To make a frequency interval of a light between channels stable at a prescribed value by demultiplexing each mode of a optical waveguide laser in multi-mode oscillation at a prescribed frequency interval decided by an optical resonator by wavelengths at an optical demultiplexer and modulating the light so as to form a signal light of each channel. CONSTITUTION:An optical waveguide 11 being a laser medium is arranged in optical resonators 13, 14 setting the frequency interval of laser oscillation in an optical waveguide laser 15, which is in multi-mode oscillation at a prescribed frequency interval when the laser is exited by a light from an excitation light source 12. Then each mode of the laser beam in multi-mode oscillation is extracted as the light source of an independent channel while being separated by wavelengths at an optical demultiplexer 16. Thus, the frequency interval of the light source of each channel is always kept to a prescribed value.
