| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To obtain the small-sized optical coupling circuit having high efficiency in coupling between a semiconductor element and an optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:A near lens 2, the refractive index of which decreases in nearly square distribution with the distance from a central part and has the outside diameter nearly equal to the outside diameter of the glass part of the optical fiber is disposed in proximity to a semiconductor laser 1 on the optical axis of the light beam of 55mum wavelength outputted from the semiconductor laser The end face of the near parabolic lens 2 facing the semiconductor laser 1 side is polished to a hemispherical shape. The nearly focusing lens 2 is a multimode optical fiber having 125mum outside diameter, 50m core diameter and 0.2 numerical aperture. The semiconductor laser 1 is fixed onto a heat sink 3 in order to release heat. The single mode optical fiber 4 has 125mum outside diameter and 10mum core diameter. The near focusing lens 2 is equal in outside diameter to the optical fiber 4 and is small and, therefore, the optical coupling circuit is miniaturized and the coupling efficiency is as high as 3dB like heretofore. |
