英文摘要The invention relates to a device allowing several integrated circuit chips to be connected via optical links which can vary as a function of time. An illustrative embodiment comprises: - two coupled laser diodes (1, 2) emitting a light wave modulated in frequency and in amplitude by electrical signals (Im and Ie) controlling selection of one interconnection from several, and conveying a sequence of binary data; - an optical guide (3) buried at the surface of a semiconductor substrate (9); - a diffraction grating (4) etched on the surface of the guide (3) and of the substrate (9) and coupled to the guide (3) in order to diffract light in a plurality of directions ( theta i) as a function of the wavelength ( lambda i); - photodiodes (5 to 8) situated respectively in each of the directions in which the light may be diffracted, in order to deliver an electrical signal conveying the binary data transmitted in the direction corresponding to the photodiode. In other illustrative embodiments, the photodiodes are coupled to the laser diodes (1, 2) by way of a holographic grid. The invention is applicable in particular to very large-scale integrated circuits in order to interconnect several chips.
