This laser beam amplification device is provided with: a laser medium unit 10; an excitation light source 21 that emits an excitation light into the laser medium unit 10; a through-hole 16a that is made of a window material and acts as a means for supplying the cooling medium into a through-hole 14a in a laser medium 14; and a cooling medium passage F1 arranged around the laser medium unit 10.
