英文摘要This method for manufacturing an optical communication component according to an embodiment is a method for manufacturing a spatial coupling type optical communication component, the method comprising: a step of injecting a resin from a gate into the cavity of a mold having a periodic concavo-convex structure having a depth and an interval of 100 nm or more and 1000 nm or less and provided with a lens piece portion having a diameter of 50 μm or more and 600 μm or less; and a step of curing the resin to form a lens component, wherein the proportion of a cross-sectional area of the gate to a cross-sectional area of the cavity is 50% or more and 100% or less.
