英文摘要Disclosed is a semiconductor laser light source device wherein: a first electrode of a board-shaped semiconductor laser array is bonded to an electrode layer of a sub-mount substrate wherein the electrode layer is formed on one surface of a substrate formed of an electrical insulation material, said semiconductor laser array having a plurality of semiconductor laser elements that are aligned in an array form, and having the first electrode that is formed on one surface, and a second electrode that is formed on the other surface; and the sub-mount substrate surface on the reverse side of the surface on which the electrode layer is formed is bonded to a metal heat sink. A cooling section wherein a plurality of flat flow channels are aligned at a pitch equal to or less than 1 mm is formed in an internal region formed by projecting, in the Y direction, a heat sink region where the sub-mount substrate is bonded, each of said flat flow channels having a width within a range of 200-600 μm, and a depth within a range of 3-5mm.
