英文摘要 | A device and method to determine the flow rate of a liquid passing through a deformable tubing. As liquid is passed through a segment of deformable tubing, an externally mounted sensor is capable of determining the flow rate of the liquid. This is accomplished by calculating a cross-correlation of outputs from laser diodes, LED's, or acoustic sensors, or by using a pressure sensor and calculating the flow rate in terms of the pressure and physical parameters of the tubing and the liquid. An end user may program the device to perform certain actions in response to a measured instantaneous flow rate, or calculated total flow rate. These actions include audio and visual alerts transmitted over wireless, as well as performing other actuations such as switching a valve or deforming the tubing. |
