英文摘要PURPOSE:To achieve smaller size and weight and higher performance by using two kinds of concave and convex cylindrical lenses. CONSTITUTION:A concave cylindrical lens 23 and a convex cylindrical lens 14 which are so formed as to have curvatures in the direction parallel to the faying surface of a semiconductor laser 11 are disposed between a condenser lens 12 and aperture lens 15 is such a manner that the distance between the both cylindrical lenses 23, 14 beomes the difference of the focal lengths of the both cylindrical lenses 23, 14. These are then so formed that the overall geometrical magnification in the direction perpendicular to the faying surface of the semiconductor laser 11 becomes larger than the overall geometrical magnification in the direction parallel with the faying surface and the focal lengths of the both cylindrical lenses 23, 14 are so selected that the widths of parallel light in the directions perpendicular and horizontal to the faying surface become the same. Thereby, the device is reduced in size and weight without decreasing its light transmission efficiency.
