| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To reduce a return light quantity and to improve an S/N ratio of a detecting signal, by changing a phase quantity of a 1/4 wavelength plate placed on an optical path, by a phase quantity generated by anisotropy of an information carrying body. CONSTITUTION:Laser light emitted from a laser 1 passes through a collimating lens, passes through a beam splitter 5 as a elliptical polarized light A and becomes linear polarized light B in the (y) direction. Its light becomes elliptical polarized light C1 through a lambda/4 plate 8 which shifts its phase quantity by quantity for compensating the phase quantity by anisotoropy of a protecting layer 14, transmits the transparent protecting layer 14 through a condensing lens 10 and is made incident to a disk 1 The reflected ray becomes elliptical polarized light C2, and when it passes through the lambda/4 plate 8, it becomes linear polarized light D in the (x) direction. Its light is reflected by the polarized light beam splitter 5, becomes signal light 1 and is made incident to a photodetector 16. Linear polarized light B and D fall at right angles with each other, therefore, the return light quantity is reduced and the S/N ratio is improved. |
