英文摘要PURPOSE:To contrive to inhibit noises by oscillating a semiconductor laser by multiplex vertical modes. CONSTITUTION:The semiconductor laser is driven by currents supplied from two current sources, a DC current source 5 and a high frequency current source 6. A coil L and a capacitor C are so inserted that the two current sources can independently drive the semiconductor laser. The variation of photo output of the semiconducltor laser due to the feedback of a reflected light is inhibited by driving by means of a high frequency AC current. Besides, driving the semiconductor laser by means of the DC current and the high frequency current is performed in a form that the high frequency current is superposed on the DC current.
