英文摘要PURPOSE:To enable compatibility of automatic power controlling function and modulating function of a semiconductor laser for light source by providing a peak holder circuit in a feedback loop. CONSTITUTION:Output of the semiconductor laser LD for light source is monitored by a photodiode PD, and the output is taken out from an emitter follower circuit using a transistor Tr2 and inputted to a negative peak holder circuit PH. Output of the circuit PH is amplified by a buffer amplifier IC1 and compared with set target value V0 by a differential amplifier IC2. Accordingly, even if input waveform of the circuit PH changes to the waveform at the time of writing, it is maintained at the level of a specified value at the time of reading by the time constant characteristic of a resistance Rp and a condenser Cp to prevent change of current I1 between the time of writing and reading. The holder PH selects time constant that holds only time of longest writing pulse width to a minimum, and enlarges time constant by resistance Rf of the amplifier IC2 and capacitor Cf to ensure stability of servo loop of the automatic power control circuit.
