英文摘要PURPOSE:To suppress a noise due to the returned light of laser light to a low value by moving optical components such as a semiconductor laser, a beam splitter, a focus lens and a photodetector in the optical axis direction integrally with each other. CONSTITUTION:The titled device is constituted so that an optical system constituting an optical pickup comprising the semiconductor 1, the beam splitter 2, the collimator lens 3, the focus lens 4 and the detector 7 is driven in the optical axis direction integrally by the actuator 9. Thus, in actuating the focus servo to be followed up to the deflection of the disc 5, the distance between the semiconductor laser 1 and the disc 5 is made constant. When the optical system is adjusted to a position where the noise level is minimized, the state is maintained afterward.
