英文摘要PURPOSE:To permit the output of each luminous element to be controlled independently by one detection circuit by a method in which plural luminous elements are orderly lit and drive current is kept during effective-period running. CONSTITUTION:The output of luminous elements 11 and 12 is controlled by one photodiode. Timing signal T1 is put in an edge detecting circuit 18, an up-down counter 17 becomes enable state, and the element 11 is lit by a drive circuit 13. The counter 17 becomes disable state to keep count values. Afterwards, timing signal T2 is put in an edge detection circuit 23, an up-down counter 22 becomes enable state, and the element 12 is lit by a drive circuit 14. After both the counters 17 and 22 become disable state, during the effective period running, the elements 11 and 12 are modified by the drive circuits 13 and 14, and information is written in a photographic drum.
