英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To suppress the wavelength fluctuation due to the change of environmental temperature or the like and to eliminate the need of correction of chromatic aberration by controlling the current injected to a pn-junction part monolithically arranged adjacent to a semiconductor laser. CONSTITUTION:Elements 3 and 4 of a monolithically formed laser array are operated as the laser and the pn-junction diode respectively. A laser beam 5 emitted from the element 3 is made incident on a grating 7 through a lens 6. The grating 7 diffracts the laser beam 5 in proportion to the wavelength, and the diffracted light is made incident on a two-dividing photodetector 8. When it is made incident on the center of the photodetector 8 with a prescribed laser wavelength, the difference signal of the detector due to the change of wavelength is applied as the control current to the element 4 through a differential amplifier 9 to keep the laser wavelength constant. Thus, it is unnecessary to correct chromatic aberration. |
