英文摘要PURPOSE:To multiplex a laser beam with high accuracy by arranging a cylindrical lens optical element on the optical path of the laser beam together with an optical system for convergence. CONSTITUTION:The cylindrical lens 4 is provided on the optical path and either of light components in two directions having astigmatism is refracted to converge one of the light components on a specific convergence position only by the optical system 5 for convergence while the other component is converged on the specific convergence position P through the refraction of the cylindrical lens 4 and the operation of the optical system 5 for convergence in combination. The laser beam 2 emitted by a semiconductor laser 1 is therefore all converged as a spot image on the specific position without being affected by the astigmatism. Consequently, the laser beam is multiplexed with high accuracy.
