英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To prevent the fluctuation in laser output and to contrive improvement in reliability by a method wherein, using an array laser having a plurality of light-emitting parts on a laser chip, a heatgenerating element is provided in the vicinity of the light-emitting parts. CONSTITUTION:The title beam emitting device consists of the semiconductor array laser having four light-emitting parts 9, 10, 11 and 12 on one laser chip 8. LD1, LD2, LD3 and LD4 are laser diodes corresponding to the light-emitting parts 9, 10, 11 and 12 respectively, and R1, R2, R3 and R4 are heating resistors 35, 36, 37 and 38. Also, C11, C12, C13 and C14 are constant-current circuits, they are ON-OFF controlled by transistors Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q3, and these transistors perform the function of flowing a constant current to the laser diodes LD1, LD2, LD3 and LD4 when the transistors are turned ON. Against the signals (a), (b), (c) and (d) with which the laser diodes LD1-LD4 will be driven, the transistors Q5-Q8, with which the heating resistors R1-R4 will be driven, are driven by -a*(b+c+d), -b*(a+c+d), -c*(a+b+d) and -d*(b+c+d), -b*(a+c+d), -c*(a+b+d) and -d*(a+b+c), and a thermal balance can be maintained for the light-emitting parts. |
