| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To eliminate optical interference of the rear laser beams of two LD chips and facilitate independent and simultaneous monitoring of the two LD chips by a method wherein photodiodes which detect the rear laser beams are formed on the same plane of a submount and beam splitters are provided on the respective photodiodes. CONSTITUTION:An LD array chip 1 has a plurality of LD chips isolated from each other by an isolation trench 2. Photodiodes 11 and 12 which detect laser beams emitted from the respective light emitting points of the LD array chip 1 are formed adjacent to each other by diffusion in accordance with the number of light emitting points. Beam splitters 14 and 15 are provided on the respective photodiodes 11 and 12. With this constitution, optical interference of the laser beams 18 and 19 emitted from the respective LD chips in the LD array chip 1 can be eliminated and the respective LD chips can be driven and controlled independently and simultaneously. |
