CONSTITUTION:A control voltage Vc with respect to a laser beam source for emitting a specified beam quantity of plural levels to be used for an APC is calculated by a CPU 1, stored in a RAM 2, and outputted (control voltage) to a D/A converter 3 at the time of adjustment of print image density. For example, assuming that the control voltage Vc of the D/A converter 3 is Vc1 and a corresponding laser drive current Iop is I1 the APC at this time operates to obtain the value Vc1 of the control voltage Vc where a monitor voltage Vm will be Vm The data of the control voltage Vc1 obtained by the APC is stored and retained in the RAM 2. Sequentially, the same APC is performed with respect to a P2 different from a laser emission power P1 without widening time intervals, a corresponding control voltage Vc2 is obtained, and its data is stored and retained in the RAM 2. Thus, the laser beam output is corrected by using the stored control voltage. |
