英文摘要PURPOSE:To make processing time shorter than conventional by forming a geodesic lens through a molding process, and leaving the dielectric substance crystal having piezo effect to make crystalline growth or C-axis orientated growth. CONSTITUTION:Molten glass or plastic with heat is poured in a male die, which is fitted in a concave for a geodesic lens, and is cooled and solidified to provide the form of geodesic lens, and a material such as Li niobate or Zn oxide is left to make crystalline growth or C-axis oriented growth continuously at the geodesic lens part and planes around it by means of sputtering, MBE, CVD, or VPE, and thus a light wave-guide layer 3 is accomplished. Light from a semiconductor laser 1 joined with the end face of this light wave-guide layer 3 is collimated by geodesic lens 2, is Bragg diffracted by surface elasticity waves generated from a surface elasticity wave exciting electrode 5, on which frequency voltage 6 is impressed, and is emitted from the light wave-guide layer.
