This light source unit is characterized in that the light source is a semiconductor laser array. The configuration makes it possible to raise the output of the light source and to increase the output of the light source unit as a whole. The light source is further characterized in comprising lenses for converting emitted light into parallel light, and optical elements having a plurality of optical surfaces that have different micro-tilt angles with respect to the principal surface. The micro-tilt angles of the plurality of optical surfaces that intersect with light beams, the light beams resulting from a plurality of emitted light beams passing through the principal point of the lenses, are opposite each other with respect to the principal surface. |
