英文摘要The present invention provides an optical wavelength converter and a composite optical device that have excellent heat dissipation characteristics and optical wavelength conversion characteristics. An optical wavelength converter 1 has a structure where a heat dissipation member 13 having excellent heat dissipation characteristics is bonded to an optical wavelength conversion member 9, thereby efficiently dissipating heat generated by light incident on the optical wavelength conversion member 9. Therefore, even when higher energy light is incident thereon, temperature quenching is less likely to occur, thereby allowing a higher fluorescence intensity to be maintained. The optical wavelength converter 1 further includes an intermediate film 21 between a reflective film 19 and a bonding part 15. This structure improves the bond between the reflective film 19 and the bonding part 15 to thus improve heat dissipation from the optical wavelength conversion member 9 to the heat dissipation member 13. Consequently this suppresses the temperature quenching of the optical wavelength conversion member 9, thereby improving the fluorescence intensity.
