| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To couple the output light from the semiconductor laser with a light duide, by providing a Fresnel strip in the inside of a glass window. CONSTITUTION:The light emitted from an active layer 2 of the semiconductor laser 1 at an angle theta advances in the directions shown by arrows AB and AC and reaches the Fresnel strip 7. Since the Fresnel strip 7 has a wave surface conveting action, the light passed the strip becomes the parallel light and advances in the directions shown by arrows BD and CE in the glass window 3. When the light is emitted to the outside from the window 3, the light advances straight as shown by arrows DF and EG with a parallel shape being kept since the light enters only into the different medium. One example of manufacturing methods of the Fresnel strip is electron beam lithography. PMMA, which is an electron beam sensitive material, is applied to the glass window, a pattern is described by the electron beam, and the pattern is developed. |
