| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To avoid misalignment of an optical fiber axis by a method wherein a piercing hole is provided in a chip carrier and the optical fiber is inserted through a ring holder and the optical fiber is fixed to the chip carrier by soldering with the intermediating ring holder. CONSTITUTION:A piercing hole 9 through which an optical fiber 3 penetrates is provided in a chip carrier 8. The optical fiber 3 is inserted through a fine diameter hole 11 of a ring holder 10 and then passed through the piercing hole 9 and coupled with the light emitted from a light emitting element. The optical fiber 3 is fixed to the chip carrier 8 by soldering with the intermediating ring holder 10. As the optical fiber 3 is fixed to the chip carrier 8 by the ring holder 10 in this apparatus, the thickness of solder can be kept very thin. The optical fiber 3 is inserted into the ring holder 10 and the surrounding structure is symmetrical around the axis. Therefore, shrinkage of the solder while the solder is cooled is very small and this shrinkage occurs around the optical fiber uniformly so that the misalignment of the fiber axis is avoided. |
