| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To improve efficiency of optical coupling by making an end face of a convergent rod lens of a laser module having a light isolator columnar side face like form. CONSTITUTION:In a laser module having a light isolator made by arranging a semiconductor laser 1, an incident side lens 5, the first polarizing prism 3 having an incident face inclined to the optic axis of the semiconductor laser 1, a Faraday rotator 2, the second polarizing prism 4 having an emission face inclined to the optic axis of the semiconductor laser 1 and optical fiber 7 successively, the face P1 of incidence of a convergent rod lens 16 is formed to a form of side face of a column having desired radius that intersects at right angles to axial center of the rod lens 16. As the face P1 of incidence of the convergent rod lens 16 is formed to a form of side face of a column, a light beam having elliptical sectional form emitted from the second polarizing prism 4 is converged larger in the direction of major axis than that of minor axis and becomes a light beam having circular sectional form. Accordingly, it becomes possible to converge the light to a point at the end face of the fiber 7. |
