| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To improve luminance of the focusing light in a junction semiconductor light-emitting element by a method wherein the lights which are derived from at least two pieces of the columnar protrusions of the light-emitting element having the P-N junctions to be extendedly provided in the vertical direction to the flat plate part in the columnar protrusions are focussed on the core of an optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:A junction semiconductor light-emitting element 3 consists of a flat part B, a plurality of columnar protrusions P provided on one surface of that, electrodes E1 provided on side circumferential surfaces of the columnar protrusions P and an electrode E2 provided on a bottom surface of the flat plate part B. Cylindrical P-N junctions PN1 to be extendedly provided in the vertical direction to the flat plate part B respectively exist in the columnar protrusions P. In this case, the element 3 is constituted in such a way that 9 pieces of the columnar protrusions P, for example, in the element 3 are coupled with a core 2 of an optical fiber When the element 3 is constituted in such a way, the light-emitting element 3 substantially emits only in the vertical direction and moreover, can focus a high-luminance light because two pieces or more of the columnar protrusions P are coupled with the core 2 of the optical fiber |
