| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To increase a coupling efficiency between a semiconductor laser and optical fibers and a tolerance for the positional deviation between both and furthermore facilitate the fabrication by forming the end portion of an optical fiber bundle to a configuration wherein the diameter of the bundle is gradually increased toward its distal end and forming a spherical lens on the distal end. CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber bundle 20 is composed of a small diameter portion 20A, a tapered portion 20B that continues thereto, a large diameter portion 20C that continues thereto and a top spherical lens portion 20D formed on the end portion of the large diameter portion 20C. The diameter of the clad 20a of the small diameter portion 20A is about 10mum. The tapered portion 20B is so formed that its outer diameter and the diameter of an internal clad are gradually increased toward the large diameter portion 20 and the clad 20a of the large diameter portion 20C has a 50-60mum diameter. The top spherical lens portion 20D has an approximately spherical configuration and is arranged close to the light irradiating portion 2 of a semiconductor laser The top spherical lens portion 20D collects the light irradiated from the light irradiating portion 2 and leads the collected light to the core 20a of the large diameter portion 20C. |
