| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To perform the stable operation in a wide wavelength range by providing plural variable wavelength filters, which are coupled in series, with diffraction gratings including light guide layers which are transparent to signal light and controlling the refractive index of the light guide layer with an electric signal to control the effective period of the diffraction grating. CONSTITUTION:Plural variable wavelength filters 110 provided with light guide type diffraction gratings 120 are optically coupled in series. Each filter 110 is provided with the diffracting grating 120, and the period of the diffraction grating 120 is slightly different among filters 110. The effective refractive index of a light guide layer 130 is changed by the electric signal supplied from a power source 140 to control the effective period of the diffraction grating 120. When the effective period of the diffraction grating 120 is changed, the transmission stop wavelength range of the filter 110 is changed. Thus, transmission stop wavelength ranges of plural filters 110 coupled in series are simultaneously controlled by a controller 100 and arbitrary one of plural signal light beams different in wavelength is selected and is stably transmitted through. |
