| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To stably execute an oscillation in a fundamental supermode by a method wherein a grating reflector optically coupled to a radiation end face of a laser stripe is installed on the side of at least one end part of the laser stripe. CONSTITUTION:Directions in which superinduce in individual orders radiated from a laser stripe 30 are incident on a grating reflector 32 installed on the side of at least one end part of the laser stripe 30 are different at the supermodes in the individual orders; accordingly, directions in which the supermodes are reflected by the grating reflector 32 are different at the supermodes in the individual orders. When a stripe direction of the laser stripe 30 is set in connection with a reflection direction of the supermodes, a reflection factor of a fundamental supermode becomes higher than a reflection factor of the supermodes in other orders; a threshold gain in the fundamental supermode becomes lower than a threshold gain in the supermodes in the other orders. Accordingly, it is possible to suppress an oscillation in other modes when an oscillation is executed in the fundamental supermode. Thereby, it is possible to obtain the stable oscillation in the fundamental supermode. |
