| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To easily sort semiconductor lasers whose modulation distortion is small by a method wherein a current-differential quantum efficiency characteristic of a semiconductor laser chip is measured and the semiconductor laser chips are sorted by utilizing a changed amount of differential quantum efficiency in a current region of higher than an oscillation threshold value. CONSTITUTION:This laser is constituted of the following: signal generators 201, 202; a coupler 203; an attenuator 204; a temperature control circuit 205; an optical output control circuit 206; a bias circuit 207; a semiconductor laser module 208; an obliquely polished connector 209; a single-mode fiber 210; a photodetector 211 ; an amplifier 212; a signal analyzer 213; a computer 214 for control use. A signal from the signal generators 201, 202 is applied to the bias circuit 207 and drives the semiconductor laser module 208. An output of the semiconductor laser module 208 is detected by the photodetector 211 via the obliquely polished connector 209 and the single-mode fiber 210; it is amplified by using the amplifier 212; after that, an output signal from the amplifier 212 is analyzed by using the signal analyzer 213. Thereby, the sorting of semiconductor lasers whose modulation distortion is small can be realized easily. |
