| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of such a case where the fault of one optical amplifier gives a fatal difficulty to the light distributing function of an optical- amplifier distributor by providing a star coupler equipped with N (N: an integer of >=2) pieces of input terminals and M (M: an integer of >=2) pieces of output terminals and one or more reflection type optical amplifiers respectively connected to one or more of the M pieces of output terminals of the star coupler. CONSTITUTION:Optical signals made incident on the 1st input terminal 21 of a start coupler 2 after passing through the 1st optical fiber 11 are outputted from the star couple 2 after the signals are distributed to the 1st to 4th output terminals 25-28. Reflection type optical amplifiers 31-34 are respectively connected to the output terminals 25-28 through the 5th to 8th optical fibers 15-18 and the distributed signal rays of light emitted from the output terminals 25-28 are respectively amplified by the amplifiers 31-34. The signal rays of light are again made incident on the star coupler 2 through the same output terminals 25-28 after amplification and outputted from the input terminals 21-24 after the rays of light are divided into four parts. Therefore, even if one of the optical amplifiers 31-34 does not operate, no fatal difficulty occurs in the distributing function. |
