英文摘要PURPOSE:To realize a high conversion efficiency by disposing an optical waveguide having a light radiating function and other optical waveguide in the same plane, forming laser resonators including the two waveguides, and optically coupling the adjacent laser resonators. CONSTITUTION:A laser oscillator 101 formed on an N-type GaAs substrate has 10 lasers having the same characteristics and disposed in parallel with each other. All the oscillators are optically coupled through a light confinement dielectric unit 103. The ten laser lights all have the same phase by the optical coupling. A SHG optical waveguide 102 is disposed on the extension line of the laser light, and disposed in the same plane as that of the laser resonator. SHG is generated in the waveguide 102. The thickness of the waveguide 102 is regulated to align the positions of the laser light and the SHG light. Further, since the waveguide 102 is optically coupled with the adjacent waveguide, the generated ten SHG lights have the same phase, and can be operated as one luminous flux in practice.
