| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To obtain the optical function element such as an optical modulator which separates outputs from two waveguides at a spatially large angle and has a large extinction ratio as to device characteristics and facilitates optical position adjustment on a manufacture surface. CONSTITUTION:A longitudinal directional coupler is formed by laminating two guide layers 4 and 6 which constitute a waveguide. A radiation grating coupler is provided at one end of an upper guide layer 6 and waveguide light is emitted out of the waveguide to separate spatially sufficiently outputs of a lower guide 4 and an upper guide 6. |
