| 英文摘要 | A semiconductor optical waveguide A (110) having an optical amplification function and a semiconductor optical waveguide B (111) having a light control function are integrated on the same substrate and separated by an isolation groove (105). The edge face facing the isolation groove (105) of the semiconductor optical waveguide A (110) and the edge face facing the isolation groove (105) of the semiconductor optical waveguide B (111) constitute a complex optical reflection/optical coupler using optical interference. The edge face of the semiconductor optical waveguide A (110) contributes to achievement of an optical reflectance of several percents or more and less than the reflectance equivalent to that of the cleavage surface and an efficiency of 50% or more of optical coupling between the semiconductor optical waveguides A, B (110, 111). |
