| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To easily perform the parallel-serial conversion of an optical signal and the time switching of a serial-parallel conversion by integrating optical gates before and behind an optical bistable semiconductor laser and setting the timing pulse of a current to be impressed. CONSTITUTION:An active layer 13' of semiconductor lasers G and G' for the optical gates and an active layer 13 of a bistable semiconductor laser BL are provided on a clad layer 12 on a substrate 11 and the active layers 13 and 13' are optically connected. The bistable semiconductor laser BL is of distribution feedback type, a periodical structure 15 is provided, the change of the gain of light by the control of the current of the bistable semiconductor laser BL is used for the semiconductor lasers G and G' for optical gates the end part is coated with a reflection preventing film 18. Thus, the optical gates are integrated before and behind the optical bistable semiconductor laser BL, the timing pulse of the current to be impressed on them is set and thus, the parallel-serial conversion and the serial-parallel conversion of the optical signal or the time switching of a serial signal can be easily performed. |
