英文摘要PURPOSE:To stabilize an oscillation wavelength by coupling a part of a light signal of an output photowaveguide by a coupler of a ring, and directly inputting the coupled light to a photoreceptor to increase the light coupling to a monitoring photowaveguide. CONSTITUTION:A ring resonator 7a is formed of two photowaveguides (which is optical fibers) 2, 9. Couplers 10a, 11a are formed of the two photowaveguides 2, 9. The output light 12 of a semiconductor laser 1 is propagated in the waveguide 2, a partial light signal 13 is coupled by the coupler 10a, and the remaining light signal is propagated in a direction of an arrow 8. The coupled signal 13 is coupled with the partial light signal by another coupler 11a, propagated in the ring as by an arrow 14, and the most remaining light signal is propagated as by the arrow 14 to become a feedback signal. Here, the coupling degree of the coupler 10a is regulated to obtain approximately feedback signal to suppress the light output in the direction of the arrow 8 to small value and to provide the feedback in the desired amount.
