| 英文摘要 | The present invention provides a VCSEL device and a method of fabricating the same. The VCSEL device comprises a compound of first and second mirror means (103,105) and a laser-active region (101) disposed between said first and second mirror means, wherein said first and second mirror means and said laser-active region are formed on a surface of a substrate (107). Said VCSEL device further comprises a strain element (114) for applying mechanical strain to said compound, wherein said strain element is adapted to anisotropically strain said compound, thereby causing preferential emission of light of a single polarization. |
