| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To obtain convergent surface-emission beams without requiring a large lens system on the outside by mounting a fibrous lens onto a light-emitting surface so that the divergent spreading angle of surface-emission output beams is reduced, the lens is shaped to convergent beams or the direction of outgoing can be changed. CONSTITUTION:In a diffraction grating coupling type surface-emission semiconductor laser 2, a fibrous lens 1 is set up onto the light emitting surface of the laser 2 so that the divergent spreading angle of surface-emission output beams is reduced, the lens is shaped to convergent beams or the direction of outgoing can be altered. The fiber lens 1 is fitted onto an isolation trench in the laser 2 such as a transverse junction stripe(TJS) type semiconductor laser 2 through adhesives 8. The thickness l1 of an upper clad layer 9, a distance l2 between the upper clad layer 9 and the bottom of the fiber 1, the refractive index nc of the upper clad layer 9, the refractive index na of adhesives 8, the refractive index of of the fiber 1 and the radius R of the fiber 1 are set properly, thus controlling an emission angle xsi. |
