| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To suppress subpulses and to obtain photopulses of high output and short width by arranging two semiconductor laser devices with non-reflection coated faces opposed optically and by driving them with drive currents different in phase. CONSTITUTION:A photoresonator is constituted which sets first and second semiconductor laser devices 11, 12 in mode synchronous oscillation by high reflection faces 11a, 12a and lenses 13, 13. Upon impressing a predetermined dc bias and high frequency onto the semiconductor laser devices 11, 12, photopulses orbit through the photoresonator between the high reflection faces 11a, 12a. At this time, a difference in phase of high frequency currents impressed on the semiconductor laser devices 11, 12 is reversed in phase to make photopulses pass through the regions of the semiconductor laser devices 11, 12 at a point of time when these devices undergo modulation in a forward direction, that is, have gains. The bias current of the semiconductor laser device 12 is set smaller than that of the semiconductor laser device 1 This process allows generation of short photopulses of high output. |
