英文摘要PURPOSE:To attain ease of adjustment of position between a lens and an LD element by fixing a lens barrel to a mounting member via a thermal insulator to cover a light emitting head of a semiconductor laser element thereby obtaining small sized device and stable output. CONSTITUTION:Since the barrel 116 of a collimator lens 115 is mounted to a mounting member 102 in common to the LD element 107 so as to cover a light emitting section of the LD element 107 and the relative alignment accuracy with the LD element 107 is improved very much. Moreover, the function to protect the light emission end face of the LD element 107 is used in common and the constitution is simplified. This is attained by mounting the barrel 116 to the mounting member 102 via the thermal insulator 114 so as to prevent thermal effect by the LD element 107 or a Peltier element 103 from being fed onto the barrel 116.
