英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To prevent the change of a peak output entailing the temperature and change with time of quantization efficiency by detecting and holding the peak output at a time when a semiconductor laser is pulse-modulated on the starting of pulse modulation and positively feeding back and controlling subsequent modulated pulse amplitude by the detection and holding of the peak output. CONSTITUTION:An output from a semiconductor laser 1 is monitored by a photodetector 2. A bottom output from the laser 1 monitored by a peak detecting circuit 4 is compared with reference voltage by a comparison circuit 5, and fed back negatively to a semiconductor laser driving circuit 12 through an amplifier 6 and a clamping circuit 1 On the other hand, a peak output at a time when the semiconductor laser is pulse-modulated is holded by a sample holding circuit 7 only on the starting of pulse modulation. An amplitude control circuit 9 controls modulated pulse amplitude in response to a value obtained by subtracting bottom-output reference voltage from the holding value. |
