The semiconductor laser 10 is provided on the supporting substrate 1 so that an active layer 11 of the semiconductor laser 10 is perpendicular to the supporting substrate That is, the surface of the active layer perpendicular to the substrate 1 is what is called the theta// face of the semiconductor laser, and the optical axis of the light reflected on the reflection film 3 of optical parts on this theta// face has a prescribed angle other than zero to the surface of the substrate 1, and the parallel transparent plate 9 and the optical axis form a prescribed angle to correct the astigmatic difference even if the parallel transparent plate 9 is arranged in parallel with the substrate Thus, the package is easily made small-sized and thin. |
