英文摘要PURPOSE:To reduce a laser noise not only at a reproducing time but also at a recording time and to obtain a stable laser output by causing a low output level at a high output pulse driving time to be a level, which is higher than an output level besides the high output pulse driving time, or a zero level. CONSTITUTION:A semiconductor laser driving device is a device to reduce the laser noise by driving a semiconductor laser 2 with a high frequency oscillating circuit 15 and to stop the drive of the high frequency oscillating circuit 15 when the semiconductor laser 2 is high output pulse-driven. Then, a semiconductor laser driving circuit 1 is composed of a control circuit 13, an automatic output control circuit 14, the high frequency oscillating circuit 15 and a capacitor 16. In such a case, the laser output at the low output time when the semiconductor laser 2 is high output pulse-oscillated is caused to be a high output up to the output, with which the laser is stably oscillated, or to be the zero level. Thus, the laser noise at the low output time when the semiconductor laser is high output pulse-oscillated is reduced and laser oscillation can be stablized.
