英文摘要PURPOSE:To reduce the slippage of a focusing point at writing and reading times and to prevent the generation of a signal error by combining the lens system having a color aberration and semiconductor laser having an astigmatic difference. CONSTITUTION:A semiconductor laser is reduced at its astigmatic difference when its optical output is increased and, on the other hand, the wavelength is moved to a long wave length side and the focusing point is slided together by the color aberration of a lens system. For instance, when the optical output of the writing and reading laser 1 to an optical disk 4 is taken in 15mW and 2.5mW, a 2-3nm wavelength is moved by switching and the slippage of the focusing point by color aberration becomes in 2-3mum. The astigmatic difference is reduced in 2-3mum in case of the astigmatic difference of 5mum being in 15mW in case of <=5mW optical output. The slippage of the focusing point by the movement of an oscillating wavelength is combined so as to absorb it by the fluctuation of the astigmatic difference. The slippage of the focusing point at writing and reading times is thus reduced and the signal error can be eliminated.
