英文摘要PURPOSE:To contrive the miniaturization of this device, the increase in response speed and the improvement in the degree of freedom in design by forming a lens of distributed refractive index lenses formed to each of photodetector. CONSTITUTION:The plane microlens 20 is the lens arranged with the distributed refractive index lenses 22-1 to 22-3 in the form of a flat plate. The distributed refractive index lenses refer to rod-shaped lenses having such a refractive index distribution that the refractive index decreases continuously from the central axis toward the periphery. The beams 100-1 to 100-3 emitted from semiconductor laser chips LDs 10-1 to 10-3 are respectively condensed to the photodetecting parts 18-1 to 18-3 of photodiodes PDs 14-1 to 14-3 by the distributed refractive index lenses 22-1 to 22-3. The adjustment of the disposition and specifications with each of the respective distributed refractive index lenses 22-1 to 22-3 is possible in this way and the respective beams 100-1 to 100-3 can be adequately condensed and separated and received respectively in the photodetecting parts 18-1 to 18-3. The miniaturization of the device, the increase in the response speed and the improvement in the degree of freedom in design are contrived in this way.
