| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To protect a semiconductor laser and recorded information against breakdown, which may occur due to slow response when the quantity of emitted light is compared with some threshold in order to detect abnormal light emission, by detecting abnormal light emission through a semiconductor laser drive circuit for an apparatus which records information with a semiconductor laser beam and then interrupting emission of light. CONSTITUTION:A current detecting circuit 13 detects laser driving current 21 and a current variation detecting circuit 10 detects abrupt variation of abnormal light emission driving current 21 per unit time. When thus detected variation rate is higher than a predetermined value, a driving current bypass circuit 12 prevents the driving current 21 from flowing through a laser thus preventing abnormal light emission. Any loop signal may be employed in the current detection through a closed loop circuit for sustaining the laser beam at substantially constant level. When emission of laser beam is interrupted based on the rising of driving signal for semiconductor laser, abnormal emission of laser beam is prevented resulting in protection of the semiconductor laser and recorded information against breakdown. |
