| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To switch two optical outputs and to transmit them to one optical fiber without a momentary break, by connecting 1/2 wavelength plates, which face to two faces of a prism consisting of a double refraction crystal and are supported rotatably, to a laser beam source through incident optical fibers. CONSTITUTION:The beam from a laser beam source 8 passes through an incident optical fiber 6 and a lens 4 and is incident to a prism 1 as the abnormal beam in the polarization direction of an optical axis R by rotating and adjusting the plane of polarization by a 1/2 wavelength plate 2 and is reflected totally at a point P and is emitted in the direction of an optical axis Q. The beam of the other laser beam source 9 passes through an incident optical fiber 7 and a lens 5 and is incident to the prism 1 as the normal beam in the polarization direction of an optical axis S by rotation and adjustment due to a 1/2 wavelength plate 3 and is transmitted totally at the point P and is emitted in the direction of the optical axis Q. Thus, the beams from laser beam sources 8 and 9 are transmitted to a single mode optical fiber 10 with a low loss, and they are switched without momentary break when turn-ON and OFF of beam sources 8 and 9 are interlocked with each other. |
