英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To improve heat radiation and to stabilize temperature characteristics, by bonding the upper and back surfaces of a laser chip to independent conducting blocks having high heat conductivity. CONSTITUTION:The back surface of a substrate of a laser chip 1 is fixed to a block comprising Cobal having high heat conductivity. A heat radiating piece 7 having high heat conductivity is fixed to the main surface of the laser chip that is closer to a light guide. Thus the heat radiation of the laser chip is improved, temperature characteristics become excellent and characteristics are stabilized. The heat radiating piece 7 is longer than the length of the light guide in the laser chip The heat radiating piece 7 is attached so that it is not protruded from both ends of the laser chip Therefore, solder 3, which connects the heat radiating piece 7 and the laser chip 1, is not protruded from both ends of the laser chip. The eclipse phenomenon of the laser light can be prevented, and the light emitting characteristics can be improved. |
