| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To easily obtain a high coupling efficiency by connecting a short step index fiber to the end face of a single mode fiber, and forming the end of the short fiber in a spherical curved surface. CONSTITUTION:A short step index fiber 6 having the same outer diameter as that of a single mode fiber 3 is connected to the end face of the fiber 3, and the end of the fiber 6 is formed in a spherical curved surface 8. Accordingly, even if a laser light 2 radiated from a semiconductor laser 1 is largely extended, it is passed through the fiber 6 having the spherical curved surface connected to the end of the fiber 3 to sufficiently condense laser light at a core of the fiber 3. Thus, the laser 1 is separated from the end face of the fiber 3, and even if the radius of curvature of the curved surface formed at the end face is increased, high coupling efficiency of the laser 1 to the fiber 3 can be obtained. |
